We Deh Here Oh

£595.00 £

Kwame is a student of Ghanatta, following graduation he was selected by the tourism minister to be the first artists in residence at Ghana’s National Centre for Culture. Since his arrival in England Kwame has continued to paint and exhibit across the South Coast.

Ghana is currently struggling with a moral dilemma and looks set to pass a law which would make being gay illegal. This painting is a gentle reminder that LGBTQIA people have always existed in Ghana and that they are in our stories, our adinkra symbols, our histories and our families.
