Support the traditional skills school and tree planting in and around Buipe.
Let your students fight on the forefront of climate change, being part of the green wall growing across West Africa in the hopes of halting the advance of the Sahara. Buipe as a river community is prone to the extremes of flooding and drought – tree planting is a life saver. In addition many trees in the region are on the extinction watch list and we are replanting for their very survival. Key to this fight is the Rosewood.
You can also support young artists from the region to find employment in the traditional crafts your children may have enjoyed as we visited your school. With thousands dying in the mediterranean sea each year it is critical that we find alternative viable incomes for young people within their communities.
