Shape the Future – Join the Nightjar Youth Board
We’ve started with two Youth Board members, but they can’t do it alone. This is your chance to step up, bring your voice, and help shape Nightjar Youth. Together we’ll make sure everything we do is led by young people, for young people.
What the Youth Board Is…
The Youth Board is a group of young people aged 16–25 who guide the vision of Nightjar Youth. It’s about making real decisions, not token roles. You’ll connect with the main board of African Activities, share power, and set the direction.

How much does it cost?
Membership and support are not only free – we support those who work with us with funding, payments and oppertunities.
What we are looking for
You dont have to be the loudest voice in the room. We need planners, doers, creatives, listeners, orgnaisers – all kinds of skills. What matters is that you care.
How it works
1–2 hours a month, plus events if you want to join in.
Support: mentoring pairs, safe spaces, training, wellbeing checks.
Progression: chance to take on more responsibility, lead projects, or move into the main board later.
