Umbrella Arts celebrates the ways health and wellbeing can be transformed through art. We encourage everyone to get involved.

The Umbrella Arts festival has a number of aims:
AWARENESS: Raise general awareness of the arts and health activity in the city, the roles of the Southampton Art in Health Forum and its partner organisations;
ENGAGEMENT: Encourage more people to engage with the arts to help them with their health issues including build coping and resilience in dealing with long term conditions;
CONNECTIONS: Get health professionals, health and community organisations and arts practitioners connected with each other with a particular emphasis on the social prescribing agenda;
FEEDBACK AND EVIDENCE: Ensure that public feedback, public involvement research and evidence-based practice is central to the day and the health/arts agenda, with local universities and Healthwatch Southampton involvement to help progress these elements.
