Welcome to African Activities team building events. We bring a unique high energy experience allowing everyone to work in unison immersed in rhythm.

Team building drumming events can be run as small sessions, break out sessions that come together as a finale or large whole group events. They will be high energy and are designed to get everyone involved and playing in unison as quickly as possible. Of course they are fully adaptable and are great for mixed ability groups.

What do we offer?

We will work with you to ensure your team-building event is a good for for your organisation. We offer drum, dance and art options for building your team - there is no extra charge for mixing activities.

Drum Sessions

Your delegates will be led by an experienced African professional musician who can quickly get everyone playing a beat.

We provide instruments for every participant including authentic djembes, panlogos, dundun, shakers and bells. Body rhythm and voice may also be used.

Larger sessions can be done in conference of theatre seating, whilst smaller groups work well in a traditional circle.

Combining complex cross beats, ensures your staff work as a team whilst listening for key musical cues from colleagues. It is a unifying and energising experience.

Balletic and athletic - these large easy to follow movements will have everyone up and jumping ready to take on the world!

This can work alongside the drumming workshop or as a stand alone option.

Creating a company patchwork of unity

Use Adinkra symbols to get people in touch with their creativity.

Define the key personality of your organisation and the individuals in it through Adinkra symbols.

Create a large artwork which celebrates each individual contribution whilst drawing together to create a greater whole.

All our workshops are inclusive with focus on engaging everyone.

What to expect?

Kwame has been running team-building workshops in the UK for 15 years. Our team of highly skilled professional musicians are African Drumming specialists able to engage and entertain - sharing a truly uplifting cultural experience not just drum beats!

Your practitioners will be wearing national dress (not a costume!) and will lead a visual as well as musically exciting session!

How many participants?

As a rough rule of thumb we advise one practitioner for every 40 participants. Maximum group size is limited by the space you have available.  We are currently limited to 1500 drums, but can use body percussion and voice with larger groups.

Please go to the booking pages to see when we are available and get your free quote. Our office is open five days a week and would be delighted to have a quick chat to ensure we get the correct fit for your event.
